A Camino Designed for Everyone
Each day of the Fermanagh Camino has been carefully planned to be manageable, supported and inclusive. Routes are well-paced, with support vehicles throughout, and the emphasis is firmly on participation rather than performance.
The Camino is inspired by traditional pilgrim routes, but it is not about pushing physical limits. It is about walking together, enjoying the landscapes of Fermanagh and Donegal, and taking time out — whether for reflection, connection, or simply the pleasure of being outdoors.
Completing the Journey
While each day stands on its own, the Camino is best experienced as a complete weekend journey. Over three days, walkers move through contrasting environments — lakeside, forest, farmland and open countryside — finishing with a shared sense of achievement and connection.
Whether you take part for personal reasons, to support someone close to you, or to raise funds for Cancer Connect NI, the Fermanagh Camino is designed to be welcoming, meaningful and memorable.
This is not about how fast you walk or how far you’ve walked before — it’s about taking part, being present, and arriving together.
Transport will be provided back to the start point each day.
Day 1: Lough Derg to Finn Lough
The first leg of the Fermanagh Camino begins at Lough Derg, one of Ireland’s most revered places of pilgrimage. From this deeply spiritual setting, walkers set out through serene lakeside views and gentle woodland paths, gradually leaving the outside world behind. As the route unfolds towards Finn Lough Forest Hideaway, the pace naturally slows. This is a day designed to calm the mind and heighten the senses — a journey from a sacred, centuries-old holy site to a modern forest retreat celebrated for its tranquillity, mindfulness and connection to nature. Day One sets the tone for the Camino ahead: reflective, restorative and rooted in place.
Day 2: Belcoo to Linnett Inn, Boho
Day Two continues the Camino from the magical town of Belcoo, along the western border, a place long associated with quiet reflection and personal intention. Passing St. Patricks Holywell, the route follows a mix of rural roads and open countryside, with a gentle rhythm that encourages walkers to settle into the journey. This is a sociable day on the Camino — less inward-looking than Day One, with plenty of opportunity for conversation, shared moments and support along the way. The surrounding landscape is unhurried and expansive, allowing walkers to move at a comfortable pace while taking in the character of west Fermanagh. The walk concludes in Boho at the welcoming Linnett Inn, Fermanagh's last remaining thatched cottage traditional pub, with its very own cave inside. Food will be available to purchase beside the pub.
Day 3: Colebrook Estate to Topped Mountain
The final day of the Fermanagh Camino begins at Colebrook House, a historic estate in Brookeborough, where open parkland and tree-lined avenues create a peaceful setting for the last leg of the journey. From here, the route moves through gentle countryside, offering time to reflect on the Camino experience and the shared moments built over the weekend. The walking is unhurried, allowing space for conversation or quiet thought, depending on what the day calls for. The Camino concludes at Topped Mountain, where wide views across the surrounding landscape provide a natural pause point. It’s a simple, fitting finish — a chance to stop, look back on the route taken, and mark the end of the journey together.
