Fermanagh Camino Route
The Fermanagh Camino is a unique, three-day walking journey that weaves through Fermanagh’s stunning landscapes, starting at the tranquil shores of Lough Derg and culminating in the historic town of Enniskillen. Spanning approximately 35 miles (56km), covering 13 miles on day one, 12 miles on day two and 10 miles on day three. The Camino provides an opportunity to walk for a cause, as all funds raised go directly to Cancer Connect NI. Participants can embark on the full journey or join in for any part, experiencing the beauty of Fermanagh while making a meaningful difference.

Day 1: Lough Derg to Boa Island
The first leg of the Camino begins at Lough Derg, immersing walkers in serene lake views and woodland paths, heading towards Boa Island. Boa Island adds an air of mystique to the route with Caldragh Cemetary where you can see the Dreenan Stone Figure (also known as Boa Island Figure/Janus Figure). This stage concludes with a Camino meal and an overnight stay at Lusty Beg Resort, where participants can relax and recharge amidst the beautiful island surroundings.
Day 2: Edgewater to Castle Archdale
The second stage starts from Edgewater (a short bus journey from Lusty Beg Island) and continues towards Castle Archdale Country Park, taking in the stunning views of White Island, Davy's Island and Old Castle Archdale. After exploring this historic site, participants will make their way by bus to the Manor House Country Hotel, enjoying a restful evening in a welcoming, scenic setting.
Day 3: Walking tour of Enniskillen – Ireland's only island town
On the final day, a bus will take participants from Manor House Country Hotel to Enniskillen town, where the Camino continues with a walk through the town’s remarkable historical sites. Walkers will explore the rich history of Enniskillen, discovering sites of cultural and architectural importance while reflecting on their journey and the impact of their support for Cancer Connect NI.

How Difficult are the trails?
The trail is suitable for walkers of various fitness levels. Certain sections are more challenging than others, so we recommend choosing a day that suits your experience and fitness.
what is the terrain?
The Camino route incorporates tarred roads, gravel paths, boggy hillside, forest tracks and grassy trails. Please wear appropriate footwear.
Guided or self-led?
The Fermanagh Camino is self-led. There will be walk leaders interspersed among the walkers should you require assistance.
Where to stay and dine?
Walkers are responsible for booking and confirming their own accommodation. PLEASE RESERVE YOUR ACCOMMODATION IMMEDIATELY AS IT BOOKS UP FAST. A Camino Meal will be available at selected venues for dinner each evening. Guests MUST book their place directly with the restaurant.

How much sponsorship do I need to gather?
For each registered walker, we invite you to raise a minimum of £100 per day that you walk the Fermanagh Camino.
The primary aim of the Fermanagh Camino is to raise much needed funds for Cancer Connect NI which will make a tangible difference for cancer patients and their families in the Fermanagh region.
Can I get a Refund?
Registration fees are non-refundable except in the case of the event not going ahead.
