History

In November 2024, Cancer Connect NI celebrates its 15th anniversary, marking an incredible achievement of raising approximately £1.6 million since its establishment to support the local community in facing the challenges of cancer.

Based in County Fermanagh, Cancer Connect NI provides a network of guidance, compassion, and practical support to individuals and families affected by cancer. At the Cancer Connect Centre, people find a safe, confidential environment with access to essential resources to help them navigate their journey.

Cancer Connect NI’s dedication and comprehensive service offerings make a profound difference to many lives, fostering a community of hope and resilience in County Fermanagh.  The Cancer Connect NI Centre offers a comprehensive range of services to address the diverse needs of the community, including:

  • Specialist Complementary Therapies: Tailored therapies that provide relief and support for physical and emotional well-being.
  • Rise and Recliner Chair Loan Service: A free loan service for recliner chairs designed to aid comfort and mobility.
  • Listening Ear Service: A compassionate listening service, offering a safe space to share experiences and feelings.
  • Fitting and Supply of Anita Products: A fitting service offering specialised bras and swimwear.
  • Speaker/Information Talks: Educational talks by specialists, keeping clients and families informed about the latest in cancer care and wellness.
  • Tranquillity: A peaceful, landscaped garden for relaxation, reflection, and connection with nature.
  • Courses/Classes: A variety of wellness-focused classes and workshops to support physical and mental health.
  • Beauty and Skincare Workshops: Programs designed to empower individuals to feel their best, even in the face of treatment side effects.
  • Information Service: Access to reliable and updated cancer-related information, ensuring individuals and families are well-informed.
